Its my son's senior prom tonight...
and I am not there to share it with him. Thanks to their dad, I have lost so many memories of them. I should be the one taking pictures and fussing over the fit of his tux. This hurts so bad. Kornfan has promised many cell phone pics tonight though, if I get one I will post. In the meantime here this was him at last years prom.

Finally I have been able to post a comment here! I have been trying for a week. You have been so sweet to comment on many of my posts and I have been reading your blog but can't comment. So yay!
Since I am new to your blog might I ask why you couldn't be there at the prom? It sounds like you really would have liked to have seen your son. And he is such a handsome boy. Feel free to not answer because I have a tendancy to be nosy.
Vegas, so glad you were able to comment!! Hope you come back!
You are not nosy, I really dont have any secrets on my blog, its all out there. I thought I posted why I dont live with my kids, but I guess I havent. Tomorrow I will post all about it. Its pretty boring but its a big part of my life.
Done danced her right out of her shoes! Good move!
I'm so sorry Mel!
I cannot begin to imagine missing these events in my children's lives.
I remember telling you how incredibly blessed you were to have a father and a mother-in-law you adored... I do not have those things.
Now, you have made me realize how blessed I am that I have my children with me.
We all have our battle wounds don't we?
I'm sure your son will call and tell you all about it! Share photos when you can!
I'm sorry you missed out. I think you are more a part of the memories your son has than you think. I bet his dad doesn't get the live pictures either!
well thats a story I would like to hear one day....
Not to diminish what you feel in any way, but it might be more of a rite-of-passage for your son if you're not there?
(Now, I don't know the circumstances because it's my first visit here, so feel free to hate me for my comment or to send evil spammers to my blog. But I promise I'll come back here to see the prom pictures anyway).
I see what are saying people. I dont hate you :) I just meant I should have been the one helping him pick out a corsage and the one taking pictures before the event. What would I do at a prom? I be old.
Did you hear anything from him? Did he send pics, and have a fun (but safe) time?
I'm sorry you couldn't be there to watch him on his big night, but looking at the brighter side of things, at least you have a good enough relationship with him that he wants to share these events with you, even if it's not in the way you wish it could be.
OK, let me see this is a test. I have been trying to comment on your blog and it just won't take the comment, not only that but the comment dissapers.
Wow, it worked.
Cool!
awww. that is so sad, cuz that is a mother's job, to fuss over her son in a tux. I hope you get the chance again one day.
