Slacker dogs

There have been too many pictures of cats lately on the blogs and the dogs demand equal time! They can be just as slack as cats and I bet you greyhounds take as many naps as cats do. Yah its friday!!!

I am dragging ass this morning too. Even my Tim's coffee isnt doing much to wake me up. I have an appointment with a dietician at 4:30 today to talk about my diet now that I am on coumdin. Who schedules an appointment like that for friday afternoon??? I dont want to go. Maybe I will reschedule.

Pink is the new blog had the funniest headline yesterday "How many lawyers does it take to screw Anna Nicole Smith?" She has 3 men claiming to be the baby daddy of her newborn Danilynn. Some women have trouble getting one man to claim a baby and she has 3??? She is always over the top. Now the new rumor is she married one of them yesterday but I only saw that on one site so I dont know. Its really so sad about her son.

I am irritated with the love of my life. For my birthday he got me an MP3 player I wanted but I wanted speakers so I can listen at work. We have no internet and I cant get a radio to pick up anything but country music (GAK) at my work. The speakers he gave me wont work, and I have been asking him to get me speakers that work and his response is "I have some around here somewhere but I need a power supply" huh??? So for 2 weeks I have asked every day and I still dont have any speakers yet. He keeps blowing me off. Yesterday he worked on his Harley all day!! I listen to it at work with my earbuds but they dont like for me do that. So my birthday present is useless to me! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I know this is a small thing to whine about but it drives me crazy.

The biopsy is over and my new addiction


Well, the biopsy took only about 1/2 hour, it was really easy compared to some things I have had done this year. Now we get to wait 6 weeks for the results. He is looking for amayloid protein. I dont know what that means, I tried looking online and am still pretty clueless as what that is.


Anyway, I am addicted to Grey's anatomy as I said before but now I have another addiction. Its Mayfield Banana stix. I have had 5 of these today! So good, and fat free! yummy stuff.

They did a lung scan on my dad today and he has a huge (20 cm) mass thats needs to be biopsied. It sucks.

I think I'll get another banana stix.

Who will she choose?? Who should she choose?

Yes I am just a teeny bit obessed with this show. I love this show, I am happy with the new time slot, it means I will more than likely not fall asleep while its on again. I am 1/2 way thru season one on the DVD, I missed some of them so I really enjoying that too.

What is it about Meredith Grey? All the men hit on her skinny ass. They fall in love with her skinny ass. I don't seem to get it, especially when they have Izzie, who is just HOT and has a healthy sized ass. Maybe its because she is "dark and Twisty" I dunno. But ok who should she choose? I am hoping she chooses Derek but I would understand if she doesn't. It hasn't been that long ago she begged him "pick me, choose me" and he didn't choose her. Now he has changed his mind. And Finn is so nice and stable and he's a vet (everyone loves a vet!!!) and for gods sakes woman he is Robin! What a choice. What a show.

I am addicted. I may need an intervention.

I still hate mondays

Even though with evil boss gone ( a month now) and work is a better place. I hate knowing the whole week lies ahead. and I hate getting up when its dark. Really, I dont think people should be up when its dark. I would make a lousy vampire.

Speaking of blood, I had to stop my blood thinner saturday for the punch biopsy I am having Wednsday so I dont bleed like a stuck pig. I am all for not bleeding out but I am nervous without the thinner, what is the clot reforms? I am paraniod I know.

My kids spend the weekend with my parents and mom called and was over the moon. I am jealous, I dont know when I will get to see them. Jealous of my own parents LOL.

The bird invasion!

Last week we had a bat in the basement and yesterday a bird got in the breakfast nook. Maybe she was looking for breakfast? Hubby snapped a couple of pictures before opening the door and she flew away. It was exciting, I guess you had to be here LOL. The dogs were CLUELESS that some other animal was in the house. Some kind of watch dogs huh? They bark at the neighbors who they see every day thru the windows but some wild critter gets in and they snooze.

Hubby was off yesterday, its the first day we have had off together in 3 weeks. So I took my shower early yesterday...haha he was not going anywhere without moi! Sure enough at 9 we went to go install a wireless network for a client. This is a nice lady that Hubby used to work with, I enjoyed visiting with her. I found out she watches project Runway too and we had a long discussion on the merits of the designers and who should win. We both hate Jeffery and we both want Michael to win. GO Michael!!

Then hubby and I went to the Waffle house for breakfast, to lowes and petsmart and back home where he worked on the kitchen floor the rest of the day. Its almost done, he has some grouting left and then has to seal it. Pictures to come later. The black grout looks good with the red brick colored tiles, I wasnt sure it was going to look good but it does.

But today he is back at work. But next weekend he is off all weekend right now. Hopefully if he takes an overtime shift he does it while I am working too. I am home alone with the dogs and a mound of laundry that is bigger than me. How did that happen?????

Sellevision and the KFC

Remember how I complain about people coming up to me and talking to me for no reason? Yesterday I had errands to run, hubby's errands really but he is on nights this week. I went to eat a quiet lunch at KFC, I took my book with me. I notice I am the only woman in there. Evidently KFC is a big hangout for construction guys, the place was full of dirty sweaty men. Anyway I am sitting there, engrossed in my book when someone pokes me on the shoulder and its one of the construction men. He said "I read books too". I just didnt know how to respond to that one. So I just gapped at him. Then he says "Thats a good book. There is alot of information in there". Now Sellevision is a novel. Its good novel but its just a fun read. I dont think there is any information to be had in there! Oh wait....when Max goes to the Porno movie studio he discovers how they make fake semen, that was informative I guess. Anyway its a great book, its by Augusten Burroughs. I recommend it, and you too can learn how to make fake semen, and get poked at the KFC by dirty sweaty construction men.

The last Kiss

I saw this movie on my birthday, thought I would review it! Why not as I am so qualified to review movies haha. I liked it alot, I thought it was a way better than The Breakup but falls short of being a great great movie I think. I love Casey Affleck, even though his character was whiny. I had never seen him in anything before and I think he had did a great job. I love me some Zach Braff, I dont think he would be bad in anything. The premise is age old, committement phobia. The moral of this movie to me is dont Lie. I have found in life that when I lie, I ALWAYS get caught. I am just no good at it so I dont lie anymore (well white lies like I love your haircut they dont count). Zach Braff tells a BIG lie and gets caught almost immediately. Not knowing he had been found out he continues to lie! Stupid men. Anyway, Rachel Bilson is awesome in this movie, She should have had a bigger billing. I just heart her, she is so cute that it was almost disturbing to watch her in a a sex scene! But she did well, and I think she has a big career ahead. I liked the friendship all the guys have, and how they are there for each other. I would see this again for sure.

In other news, I am a BIG loser. I decided to just go for it and did my first blog battle. I lost big time. But I am sure someone out there will like my blog so I am going to try again. I think its because my blog is so blah, I cant even figure out how to get my blogroll on here. Oh well. Anyone who would like to vote for me I am on blogexplosion as damelbo.

I am off today and I dont have a doctors appointment for a change! WOOT! Next week is the punch biopsy. Now I know there is not much to a punch biopsy but I am still not looking forward to it.

When I have nothing to post
I seem to resort to pictures of my kids or my dogs. I just got these pics, yes Prom was 5 months ago but I didnt get any decent pics until this past weekend. Kornfan looks spiffy in his Tux dont you think?? He went stag. He hasnt a girlfriend in a while, dont know whats up with that. Maybe because he got suspended for PDA early in the year?

This is infamous Boyfriend of Stuffgirl's of the infamous obscene text message. He has since cut his hair all off. They have been together for quite a while (after she forgave him for "cheating") and I rarely call her when she is not with him. This looks pretty serious guys. I mean, she has always been fickle about boyfriends and while she has had many this is the first one she didnt get bored with after a couple of weeks. She broke up with one guy (I really liked him too) on his freaking birthday! So her love and leave em days seem to over for now. We will see. His Tux vest matches the color of her dress, I wish you could see that. They make a handsome couple.

How to celebrate being turning 23 (again)

my Cheeseburger was awesome, VERY tasty. I really wanted to try their Chocolate Bananna cake but was too full. It was a nice place, lots of kids in there though. Not that lots of kids is a bad thing but more than I expected, I mean kids everywhere. It must be a favorite of kids and parents.

I had specially told my friends that I didnt want any presents, I just wanted their Presence but did they listen??? NOOOOOOOOO! But I am glad they didnt because they gave a gift I squealed over! I mean it, I squealed LOL. I guess I fit in with all those loud kids huh? But they got me both seasons of Grey's Anatomy on DVD!!!!!!!!!!!! I am just tickled pink with it!! They couldnt have picked anything better! My hubby got me a MP3 player that I wanted but it wont play on the speakers we have. I wanted it for work since I cant pick up any radio stations at work. The XM radio was a bust because that wouldnt get a signal in my work either. It kinda sucks, I spent all day yesterday ripping music from all our CD's and I wont be able to play it. I dont think they will let me wear the earbuds that came with it, but I am gonna try.

My kids are broke right now ( they both quit their jobs) so they mailed me finally some prom pictures. I will share those later. Stuffgirl is looking for a job right now, I hope she finds something soon. The Amusement park they worked at was bought out from Paramount and when that happened they cut back on their hours. Kind of a forced layoff in a way, just dont give people hours to work.

In other news I am still reeling from Supernova picking Monkey boy. Not my choice but his original song is stuck in my head and I cant get it out!!! Stuffgirl calls that an earworm. Make it go away!! " You make my head spin...........why? why? WHY?" ack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buffy Alert!!!!!!!!!

I just read where the WB is showing the pilots of their most sucessful shows on tonight, thier last night as the WB. They are showing the Buffy Pilot and the Angel Pilot!!! Also Dawson's creek and Felecity but I never watched those. I am so gonna watch me some Buffy and Angel tonight. GOD I am SUCH a geek. But Buffy in my book was the best show EVER.

OK maybe not wiser. But older, although officially not until 11;55 tonight. Yes I was born at the witching hour. I dont know what that means.

Hubby is working (SUCKS) so I am going to lunch with my gals. B picked Cheeseburger in Paradise ( her birthday was Tuesday) and I have been wanting to try it out. I wonder what they serve there haha??? I have a drive an hour to get there though. I hope the pain in my legs wont be too bad coming back. My pain has been increasing every day. The pain pills the doc gave that I swore I wouldnt take because I dont want to become addicted? I took one every night this week except for one. Luckily its not a constant pain but it worse when I am on my feet for any length of time.

I didnt mean to get into that this morning. But its a part of my life now, what fun huh? I am even more depressed because they found a spot on my dad's lung this week. He is having more tests to determine what it is but I am braced for more bad news. So is he, I could tell from his voice when he called me.

BUT I am going to go eat a cheeseburger and I know those gals will cheer me up, when we get together its almost embarrassing we laugh so much! People look at us funny. I dont care, it my birthday and its all about ME today haha!! If I had a tiara I would wear it!

Random thoughts

I am stealing this idea from fellow blogger K, but she does Random Sundays and I am just doing random thoughts whenever. I hope she doesnt get mad, but imitation is the sincerest form of flattery they say :)

MY DNA My hair falls out all the time, constantly. Yet it never gets thin so I guess its normal. I was in the car today at Lowes waiting for Hubby, and I brushed my hair and bunches of strands went out the window into the parking lot. All I could think is my DNA is going to float thru the breeze into someone else's car and if they ever get murdered they would arrest because my DNA would be in their car.

Voice Messages I save my loved ones messages on my cell phone as long as it will let me save them. I have done this ever since 9/11 when people trapped in the tower called home and left messages and sometimes it was the last time they were heard from. It makes me feel better to save the voices of the people I love.

Birthday Yes its time for another birthday. I am happy about that but it sucks because Hubby is working all weekend and I will be alone. I tried to get my gals together but I think they all have plans. If The last Kiss is playing here I will go see that on my birthday I think.

Its been 5 years. Hard to believe. F-Zed posted what she was doing when she heard and was curious as to what everyone else was doing. I was at work, at the same job I am now but before we moved downtown. I didnt have the radio on that day. It was quiet for a change, I shared on office with Miss mouth of the south and she wasnt there and I was enjoying thw quiet. Then I noticed that she had been gone for a long time and and went to see where everyone was. They were in another department glued to the radio. I asked what was going on and they told me. This was before the second plane hit. I couldnt process what they were telling me and I thought what a sick joke and what is the punchline? No punchline. No punchline at all.

Its still hard for me to understand how people can so much hatred that they can do things like this. Hatred for people that they never met. I still dont undertand.

There is a sucker born every minute...

and I am a big one! Let me explain. I have horrible dark circles under my eyes. It has always been bad but with my health in decline the circles have been worse. And I have eye wrinkles now too. If there is a product that PROMISES it will "dimish" dark circles, I will buy it. I cannot tell you how much money I have thrown away and nothing has helped. NOTHING! I have spent small amounts at the drugstore to huge amounts at the clinque counter. I have tried everything, nothing has helped. Some of them feel very nice but they havent helped. So now Avon has introduced a new eye cream that promises not only to help with the circles but also to give you "instant eye lift" This new product is $28!!!! Highway robbery. BUT guess who is $28 poorer today? Hope springs eternal. Maybe....just maybe this one will work. Damn you Avon.

I got nuttin honey.

yes its a sad day, my mind is blank tonight. I used up all my brain cells at work and I have nothing left to share. I am training a new person this week at work and while I need the help its killing me. I am very tired at the end of each day. She is great though, is catching on quick and actually VOLUNTEERS to do stuff. She is going to work out well I think, if I survive training her LOL.

In other news, Suri Cruise pictures are out and what a cutie! BUT she looks old in the pics. I would like to have seen the newborn pics.

More baby related news, Britney went to Taco bell yeserday. That is all. I stole the pics from Trent Pink is the new Blog. I hope its ok. Its not illegal is it? If I have to go to jail I dont want to have to tell my cell mates "I am in for stealing pictures of Britney at the Taco Bell" I dont think that would put me in good standings on the inside.

Its a wonderful long weekend for me!! The BEST part is hubby is off all 3 days too! Ha, we will have so much together time we will be sick of each other. hmmmm...in fact he just left to ride the Harley for a little while, maybe he is sick of me already??? naw!!! I miss riding the Harley, maybe I will try a short ride tomorrow. I have pretty much had to give up on any long rides, I just cant do it anymore. Just another thing I have lost to this disease.

Today was nice, we went to deliver a computer for his business and just drove around in the country. The weather was perfect for a drive. Then he got another call from another client and I went with him. It was wild, the lady was just so nice and was telling me that she used to be hooked on drugs and alcohol and she has been clean and sober for 7 years! Remember, people just tell me stuff all the time. People I dont know will tell me intimate stuff, I dont know why. But this lady was very nice and she sponsors recovering addicts and her dream is to start a clinic around here. We could use one really. Anyway, I hope she gets her dream one day.

I love long weekends!!!! We dont have many plans, just playing it by ear. I do a have a gift card to O"Charley's resturant my parents sent as a thank you for their 50th anniversary party, so we are eating out tomorrow or monday. My parents sent pictures from the party (remember I couldnt go because my butt was in the hospital) and I will post some as soon as I can figure out the scanner. I never use it! My parents looked great!! My mom looked really good.
